This assessment definitely challenged my knowledge of pharmacology and stimulated me to recognize a possible content deficit in this material. While much of the material was familiar, I struggled to recall specific teaching points, complications, etc. of medication classes. Prior to the NCLEX, I would definitely revisit this content area. Another part of this assessment which gave me trouble, was the inability to take a break. I thought I would be able to pause the test if I felt my focus slipping, but this was not so. In the future when I take practice assessments, I’ll know this fact going in, and I will be more mentally prepared. Overall, this was a good assessment to draw my attention to an area that of content that I need to focus on before the NCLEX.
