Upon reflection of our proposal, the team was successful because we worked as a cohesive unit through active communication and making efficient use of our time. Our clinical group has been rotating on R7 at Maine Medical Center, where we have had great experience working with patients primarily in heart failure exacerbations. With this disease process as the admitting diagnosis for many of our patients we found the nursing intervention of calculating intake and outputs to be of utmost importance. After selecting this as the basis of our topic, Sarah, Jen, and I divided up the work to be done and started by consulting the Librarian to acquire sources. With her help, we were able to find some really great sources to help with our project. We worked together to synthesized the data and turn it into our project. Communication and team work has been the key to our success.
